Australia School Holidays Memories To KeepSeveral times we have added a few weeks on to the school holidays for a longer holiday so we could travel further and have more adventures. Our children's teachers encouraged the experience and asked them to make a travel diary. Most days they enjoyed doing it and a few days they weren't so keen, with some persuasion they got it done. It is the best keepsake ever, they are so special and great to look back at. For each day they wrote a short story, pasted in pictures from brochures or postcards and sometimes they added things they picked up like a feather, leaf etc. The results are priceless. You can Camp at most Holiday Destinations
Tent camping on the banks of the Murray River near Tooleybuc NSW"Camping can be the cheapest and most versatile way to travel Australia. Most towns have holiday parks, campgrounds or there are many National parks to camp at cheaply and explore. Camping can be done many ways, using a tent or staying in cabins would be the most common, but now days the range of camper trailers, caravans up to 5th wheelers is huge and the choice is amazing. The photo above is of one of our many campsites on the Murray River, our kids absolutely love camping as they have done it from a very young age. Camping in the Australia school holidays can be done in many ways and in many destinations. For example camping at Alice Springs and day tripping to many attractions in the area. You may enjoy camping at the beach and relaxing most days with the occasional sightseeing drive. When we went to the Gold Coast theme parks we camped nearby at the very 'family friendly' Treasure Island Holiday Park at 'Biggera Waters' QLD instead of staying in expensive accommodation - If you are interested you will need to book ahead. www.treasureisland.com.au Camping in the Outback is an unbeleivable experience, the scenery is so unique, the sunrises and sunsets are so colourful and sitting around a campfire with thousands of stars shining above is fun."
