South Australia School Holidays 2012

South Australia has an interesting mix of destinations and things to do, like visiting the outback and unique towns, the wineries and vineyards.

Also beautiful beaches and coastal scenery, the abundant wildlife, exploring historic towns and buildings.

Visiting and exploring the outback, Coober Pedy, the Flinders Ranges is a unique adventure experience.

Along the coast is the Eyre Peninsula, The Limestone Coast, Fleurieu Peninsula and Yorke Peninsula are all scenic places to visit and explore.

If you want to see nature at its best, visit Kangaroo Island. You will see huge cliffs, surf beaches and calm sheltered bays. You can watch seals, dolphins and whales swim by and also enjoy an abundance of bird and sea life.

South Australia is famous for its wineries and vineyards in Barossa and Clare Valley, there are over 200 cellar doors waiting for you to open them and sample their wines, local food and to enjoy the charm of the surroundings.

These school holiday dates will help plan your itinerary and your own exciting road trip or holiday in northern Australia.

Travelling in the school holidays is always a busy time so it maybe necessary to book ahead your accommodation, tours etc, especially if there is a major event is going to be happening while you are there.

If you are not interested in going to the event it can be better to visit the town before or after the event then it won't be so busy.

The Australia school holidays dates can differ slightly between schools so please check the school holiday dates at your child's school.

SA 2nd week overlaps with ACT - 14th to 22nd April.

TAS don't match except for Easter.


WINTER SCHOOL HOLIDAYS

SA Winter Holidays Summary - 30th June to 15th July

SA holidays match NSW and VIC - 30th June to 15th JUly.

SA holidays 1st week overlaps with QLD - 30th June to 8th July - QLD holidays start earlier 23rd June.

SA holidays 2nd week overlaps with WA and ACT - 7th to 15th July - WA and ACT holidays end later on 22nd July.

All of SA holidays overlap with NT - NT holidays start earlier on 23rd June and end same day 22nd July.

No holidays match with Tasmania.
